Embroidery 201

After mastering the stitches in Embroidery 101, where do we go next?

Let’s explore complex combinations with Valerie Bothell’s Joyful Stitch Combinations book! We will take a full year to work our way through more than 350 stitch combinations.

Our virtual Embroidery 201 class includes:

- A copy of the Joyful Stitch Combinations book (already own the book? Choose the Thread Pack option to receive Jen's curated selection of threads instead)
- Each month, we'll work on a set of stitch combinations from the book, organized in a skill-building order. Pre-recorded video demonstrations of all stitches are included for you to watch (and rewatch!) on your own schedule. Students will be able to tackle any of the combinations described in the book, and even make up their own.
- Valerie’s book contains instructions for several different projects, including small crazy-quilted pieces, perfect for mastering your new skills.
- Students are encouraged to attend Jen’s monthly embroidery social hour, held on the second Wednesday of the month, at 7pm eastern time. This is a time for show and tell, sharing inspiration, and to get support on any embroidery issues you may be struggling with. Meetings are recorded and available to re-watch on demand.
- Instructions to make Jen's optional embroidery stitching journal.
- Free registration to Virtual Social Sewing sessions during the class year.
- Students can interact with each other, ask questions, and post photos at any time in the course's "feed" section.

Schedule: We run two year-long sessions of Embroidery 201, a Winter session starting in January and a Summer session starting in July.

Winter Session: Signups for the Winter session open in October and close in December, and class runs from January-December.
Summer Session: Signups for the Summer session open in April and close in June, and class runs from July-June.
