Color for Quilters

(formerly known as Color Journey)

Are you intimidated by color? Not sure what colors go together, how to use your favorite color in a quilt, or how to pair solids with prints?

In this year-long exploration of color theory, you'll learn all about color and gain confidence in your color choices!

Our virtual Color for Quilters course includes:

- A copy of the book The Quilter's Field Guide to Color by Rachel Hauser (already own this book? Choose the 7-piece rainbow fat quarter bundle option instead)
- Monthly "experiments" teaching color theory concepts including temperature, value, and color pairing, geared towards discovering your own color "voice."
- A 2-hour Zoom meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 6-8pm Eastern time. Meetings are recorded and available to re-watch on demand.
- In the live Zoom meeting, students show their "experiments" and learn together with feedback and guidance from Andrea.
- Free registration to Virtual Social Sewing sessions during the class year.
- Students can interact with each other, ask questions, and post photos at any time in the course's "feed" section.

After you sign up, we will mail your supplies and invite you to the online group.

You'll have access to the course materials forever.

Schedule: We run two year-long sessions of Color for Quilters, a Winter session starting in January and a Summer session starting in July.

Winter Session: Signups for the Winter session open in October and close in December, and class runs from January-December.
Summer Session: Signups for the Summer session open in April and close in June, and class runs from July-June.
