The newest collection from Canadian designer Libs Elliott has just landed! This new group is mostly black-and-white prints with some metallic gold and silver thrown in. True to Libs’s style, the prints are all highly graphic and make a statement.
You know that feeling when you want something bad and you can’t stop yourself? It’s electric. It’s When Sparks Fly.
The focal print in this group is the text print, which Libs has named Text Me. This punk rock alphabet is a great all-over print or you can use the letters to applique a word, phrase, or monogram. Each letter is about 5″ tall.
This print comes in two colors: the Black on White, shown at left, has black and metallic silver letters on a white background. White on Black, shown above, has white and metallic gold letters on a black background.
This simple raw-edge applique quilt that Libs put together shows how the letters can be used for applique!
Next up is Ivete’s favorite print in the group:
We’re Dating is a geometric print in Libs’s signature style. Libs is known for designing quilts using computer software to rotate and repeat patterns just like this one.
This print comes in 3 different colors, and two of them have metallic accents! We think this print would be an amazing choice for a quilt back.
Crush is another computer-inspired print that somehow evokes both programming pixels and quilts at the same time.
There’s a metallic gold-on-white option, a metallic silver-on-white, and a black-and-white.
Darling Bolts is a more subtle blender where the bolt design is quite small.
The color on the left is actually a white-on-white! We love to have a modern option in white-on-white fabrics.
And finally, Sweet Nothings is a versatile, small-scale print to wrap everything together.
The black version has metallic gold triangles while the white has pale grey triangles. This white one is going to be a popular low volume option!
To go along with her new fabric collection, Libs has designed a rockin’ quilt with the same name. Download the free When Sparks Fly pattern here.
Reminder: Pfaff Classroom Machine Sale
Now that we’re a BERNINA dealer we’ve converted our classroom over to BERNINA sewing machines, so it’s time to sell the classroom Pfaffs machines. We loved working with these machines for the last 2 years and we know you’ll enjoy it, too!
The machines are Pfaff Quilt Ambition 2’s, which have an MSRP of $1,399. We are selling the classroom models for $999. They were purchased in mid-2015 and have been lightly used for classes (about 200 sewing hours total on each machine). The machines have been serviced and cleaned.
Each machine comes with everything it originally came with, plus extra bobbins and an open-toe applique foot. If you want to see the list of features (our favorite is the built-in dual feed!) here’s a link to the Pfaff site listing them all:
We are also including a 30-day service warranty on these machines.
There are only 3 machines left so do not delay if you want one! Please call the store at 212-220-3958 or come in if you’re interested.
If you have any questions about the classroom Pfaff’s, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get right back to you.
