Color and fabric strategy are exciting opportunities to explore with Carolyn’s Russell quilt pattern. Carolyn will walk students through these design possibilities while also covering precision techniques in paper piecing such as fussy cutting and working with directional fabrics.
The Russell Quilt pattern and foundation paper pattern copies are included in the class registration fee.

This class meets from 10am – 5pm on:
Saturday, June 1st
Supplies to bring with you (all supplies available for purchase at Gotham Quilts, except for sketchbook):
+ Between 10-24 1/2 yard cuts of fabric, depending on the size of the quilt you’d like to make. See Russell pattern fabric requirements image below for more details.
+ rotary cutter
+ ruler with ¼” markings (14″ length is great)
+ scissors for cutting paper, pin
optional supplies :
+ colored pencils and tracing paper (A coloring page will be provided in class. You’re welcome to bring colored pencils and tracing paper if desired.)
+ seam roller, or fingerpress

Class cancellation policy:
If you need to cancel or reschedule your class registration, we are happy to accommodate changes made at least 3 days before the start of your class. You can choose a different class session or receive a store credit towards a future class registration. Please call us at 212-220-3958 or email us@gothamquilts.com to make the change. Please note that cancelations or changes within 3 days of the class date are not eligible for a credit or refund.
