THREAD talks is a virtual lecture series featuring a new guest speaker each month.
Lectures are live at 8pm Eastern time on the first Wednesday of each month, and cover all sorts of topics of interest to quilters and makers.

Go behind the seams with Marisa as she shares how she came to be a fabric representative and why she loves her job. You will learn about the process of taking an artist's sketch and turning it into inspiring fabric that finds its way to your sewing machine. Marisa will also share what makes FreeSpirit Fabrics shine in the industry.

Meet Marisa
Marisa is a trained certified nurse-midwife who also has over 25 years of experience in the craft industry as a sewing educator, Bernina specialist and most recently as a FreeSpirit Fabrics sales representative. She is passionate about supporting independent retail businesses as they are our modern-day social hubs and views the world of craft as a vehicle to express oneself, manage stress, and create community. In addition to working in the fabric industry, Marisa hosts a radio show on WPRB 103.3FM in Princeton where she plays lovely music and discusses current trends in the world of craft. She is also an amateur gardener who is obsessed with her compost pile.
