Join us for our Running Stitch Retreat the weekend of July 14th for a weekend of relaxing hand stitching fun, all from the comfort of your own home.
Stay in, wear your PJ's, and hand sew all weekend with fellow fabric nerds. Or maybe stitch by the pool if you have wifi out there!
This retreat centers around the runnnig stitch, one of the foundational stitches in hand embroidery, hand sewing, and hand quilting.
We'll spend the weekend exploring different applications of the running stitch, from embroidery to sashiko to big stitch hand quilting and kawandi-syle quilting.
In your retreat package, we're including a copy of the beautiful Alabama Chanin book The Geometry of Hand-Sewing, a wonderful reference book with all sorts of variations on the running stitch.
Over the course of the weekend, we'll be demonstrating embroidery, sashiko, big stitch hand quilting, and Kawandi-style quilting.
When you register, you can also add any of the optional "add on items" we've curated for the retreat.
We will be hosting this Virtual Retreat on Zoom, with scheduled times to get together for demonstrations, show off our progress, and have giveaways. It's going to be a ton of fun!
