Meet the Designer: Elizabeth Hartman

Based in the creative hub of Portland, Oregon, Elizabeth Hartman is a self-taught quilter, pattern designer, and self-proclaimed color enthusiast. She first fell in love with the craft in 1999, instantly hooked by how quiltmaking seamlessly bridges the gap between artistic expression, technical problem-solving, and everyday utility.

In 2014, she turned her passion into a movement by founding Patterns by Elizabeth Hartman. Since then, she has become a household name in the modern quilting community, celebrated for her ability to transform simple geometry into charming, recognizable characters.
