What are THREAD talks?
THREAD talks is a virtual lecture series featuring a new guest speaker each month.
Lectures are live at 8pm Eastern time on the first Wednesday of each month, and cover all sorts of topics of interest to quilters and makers.

Meet Rebecca
Rebecca is a neurodivergent textile artist, speaker, and disability advocate. Since being diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease 15 years ago, quilting and garment making have been sources of comfort, self-accommodation, and creative expression.
She helps people recognize the pervasive and often invisible influence of ableist culture on everyone – disabled and nondisabled – and offers a new framework for inclusion so our spaces include disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent members in substantive and meaningful ways.
Rebecca also creates digital content as The Anti-Ableist Makers Society, makes art quilts about living in ableist culture, and writes for national crafting magazines about the intersection of disability and creativity.
