THREAD talks is a virtual lecture series featuring a new guest speaker each month.
Lectures are live at 8pm Eastern time on the first Wednesday of each month, and cover all sorts of topics of interest to quilters and makers.

Meet Bianca
Bianca Springer is a fiber artist, author, quilter, and educator whose work centers joy, accessibility, and sustainability within the global quilting and sewing community. Through the upcycling of pieced and quilted textiles, she transforms existing materials into bold, modern designs that highlight creative problem-solving and intentional making. Her work challenges traditional notions of quilting by celebrating experimentation, imperfection, and personal storytelling.
An engaging and sought-after instructor, Bianca teaches locally, nationally, and internationally, offering lectures, workshops, and retreats both in person and online via Zoom. She is especially known for her confidence-building teaching style, creating inclusive learning environments where makers of all skill levels feel supported and empowered. Bianca’s approach encourages curiosity, play, and self-expression, helping students develop both technical skills and creative confidence while embracing sustainable practices in their work. Bianca is the owner of Thanks! I Made Them, Sew Can You where she sells pattern weights, sewing patterns, and sewing jewelry.
