THREAD talks is a virtual lecture series featuring a new guest speaker each month.
Lectures are live at 8pm Eastern time on the first Wednesday of each month, and cover all sorts of topics of interest to quilters and makers.

This lecture will take place virtually over Zoom. Once you register, you will receive an email with instructions for logging in. All Talks are in Eastern (NYC) time. Talk will not be recorded.

Befriending Colors
This lecture explores a variety of color-related topics designed to help quilters craft custom palettes for their upcoming projects. The session covers essential concepts such as the chromatic circle and the three variables of color, providing a solid foundation for creative design.
Participants will also examine five distinct color schemes used to build cohesive palettes. Once these fundamentals are established, the lecture transitions into a detailed, four-step process for creating professional-grade color schemes with ease.
Meet Carolina Oneto
Carolina Oneto is an acclaimed Modern Quilter, designer, and instructor originally from Valparaíso, Chile.
Though she began her career as an Industrial Civil Engineer, her journey into the fiber arts started in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she trained extensively with renowned quilters. She is deeply committed to continuous learning, regularly attending international quilting festivals like Quiltcon and having formally studied "Color Interaction" at the university level.
Carolina’s innovative quilt designs have been exhibited globally at prestigious venues, including Quiltcon, Quilt Week, The Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, and various art centers across Europe, the USA, and Chile.
She is a dedicated educator, teaching online quilting and design classes to a worldwide student base from her current studio in São Paulo, Brazil. Her central artistic mission is to empower others and affirm that "WE ARE ALL CREATIVE."
