Zoo Family Portrait Block of the Month

Designed by Cassandra Beaver, the Zoo Family Portrait Quilt captures the personalities of a dozen adorable animals to create a foundation paper pieced masterpiece!

The intermediate-level foundation paper pieced pattern is wonderfully put together, and includes:

• Introductory information with a fabric key and general foundation paper piecing instructions
• Full-color Instruction booklets for the assembly of each of the twelve blocks in the quilt
• 67 COLOR Tabloid/ledger size (11"x17") pages of foundation paper piecing templates

If you're a FPP fan you're going to LOVE assembling these wonderful animals with the clearly-written (and color-coded!) pattern.

Are you an FPP beginner? As part of this BOM, we are including a beginner-level FPP block pattern and a video tutorial to learn the technique with, before diving into the quilt.

BOM Timeline

This BOM runs for 12 months from July 2024 to June 2025, with 12 shipments, one each month.

For the first time, we're also offering the option to receive all the materials up front in one shipment, but still have access to the BOM group and materials!

Our program includes written instructions, all the fabric needed for the top and binding, and access to our BOM group inside the Gotham Quilts Community.

FAQ

Q: What fabrics will I get?
A: All the fabrics are exactly the same as shown in the photo of the finished quilt. They are all solids from the Riley Blake Confetti Cottons solids line.

Q: I already own this pattern and don't want to buy it again, what should I do?
A: Choose the "Fabric Only" option when registering to receive only the fabric without the pattern.

Q: I like this pattern but I don't want to use this fabric. Can I join the BOM without fabric?
A: This BOM is only available with fabric included.

Q: Can I participate if I don't live in the NYC area?
A: YES! US shipping is included in the price.

Q: Is the BOM available internationally?
A: YES! For international quilters, we will ship the entire program together in one shipment upfront, to minimize shipping costs. Choose the "International" product option below and once you've entered your address during checkout, shipping will be automatically calculated.
