8/10 Patchwork and Quilting Basics 10am-5pm
In this intensive 1-day class, you will learn all the basics to making a quilt while making a mini quilt. Skills you will learn are: cutting fabric with a rotary cutter and ruler, piecing the top with a quarter inch seam, pressing, basting a quilt sandwich, quilting your quilt, and binding the quilt.

Must know how to use a sewing machine. No quilting experience necessary.
Cutting mats, BERNINA sewing machines, neutral thread and iron will be provided for use in the classroom.
The following supplies are included in the class registration fee:
4 fat quarters of your choice
14" square of batting
6" x 12" Rotary Ruler
Optional Supplies: (All supplies available for purchase at Gotham Quilts):
A larger variety of fabrics especially coordinating ones with a directional print – charm square sized scraps are great also
Spray starch or starch alternative like Mary Ellen's best press
